The Mediterranean Islands Conference 2018 – abstract submission deadline February 15th
The second time in a row the town of Vis will be the host of the international multidisciplinary scientific conference “The Mediterranean Islands Conference (MIC – Vis 2018)" to be held in September 2018
The conference is organized by the Institute of Social Sciences Ivo Pilar and VERN', with the support of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts, and it is going to be held from September 19th to 22nd at VERN‘ Academic Center on the Island of Vis – VERN' Island School.
MIC – Vis 2018 conference will bring together experts and scientists from various fields who will present their scientific and research papers and exchange their views on the main challenges facing the Mediterranean Islands.
- 18 different topics (architecture, demography, geography, public services, culture and tradition, media and communication, migration, renewable energy, education, sustainable development, the underwater world and biology, agriculture and fisheries, business and economy, history, security, sport, tourism and arts and literature),
- renowned keynote speakers (Professor Emeritus Michael Ursinus, Heidelberg University and Professor Slobodan Prosperov Novak, the Academy of Dramatic Arts, (the University of Zagreb), participants from all over the world (Croatia, Italy, Spain, France, USA, Austria, ...)
- diverse, rich, significant and useful conference program - presentations, discussions, plenary presentations, exhibitions, excursions, ...,
- the conference venue - work and discussion in the relaxing environment of one of the most beautiful Croatian islands.
The conference is held under the high patronage of the President of the Republic of Croatia and the sponsorship of the town of Vis.
