Erasmus exchange students spending the summer semester at VERN’ University visited the 3rd International Franchise, Advisory and Financial Services Fair (FEC 2017) held in Opatija in early June.
They were the main guests of the round table at which they discussed franchising in their home countries. The discussion was moderated by Katalin Mandel, Ph.D., the CEO of Hungarian Franchise Association.
"Our students did a great job. They were well prepared and they presented their countries very well, and this will be an important part of their final grade at the course Franchise business” said Ljiljana Kukec, M.Sc., the course lecturer and president of the Croatian Franchise Association who participated at the organization of this fair.
This year’s fair has brought together seven countries (Great Britain, Italy, Serbia, Slovenia, Hungary, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia and Croatia) and about thirty franchises, which attracted a significant interest of small investors. A significant public interest in this fair and its workshops indicates that this is an interesting topic among the existing entrepreneurs as well as among those willing to take their first entrepreneurial steps.
